Overlooking the confluence of the Patuxent River and the Western Branch, Billingsley House is a beautiful brick Tidewater Colonial plantation house that sits atop 430 acres of land. It’s storied history begins with Major John Billingsley, the original 1662 owner of the property. The present house was constructed around 1740 by the prominent Weems family on the site of an older 1695 house built by Colonel Thomas Hollyday, the first Chief Justice of the Prince George’s County Court.
Billingsley House has been substantially altered and modernized both in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, while successfully maintaining its unique and historic structure. Billingsley House features rooms furnished in period decor, ideal for weddings and corporate events, large or small. Tucked away in rural Upper Marlboro, Maryland, their gently rolling landscape is absolutely perfect for outdoor ceremonies and tented receptions. Bryan and his team routinely work with the photographers and caterers at Billingsley House to make your wedding ceremony and reception a seamless and stunning celebration. Our sleek and stylish wireless Bose speakers operate on battery, therefore requiring no speaker wire or electrical cable.
